The Executive Council today agreed to create the Office for Strategic Planning at the University of the Balearic Islands in fulfilment of the electoral commitment to produce a strategic plan for the institution.
Strategic planning is closely tied to data and indicator management. For this reason, the office shall also be responsible for their management. The specific duties of the Office for Strategic Planning are to:
- Coordinate production, promotion and monitoring of the UIB Strategic Plan
- Manage oversight of the institutional project portfolio
- Manage the institution's positioning
- Coordinate official and in-house data and statistics
- Provide the necessary data for the Transparency Portal, in coordination with the Transparency Committee
- Provide support for decision-making processes based on data.
